My career in the financial sector, while successful, was taking a toll on my mental and emotional health. I was experiencing significant stress and anxiety. Seeking professional help, I began regular therapy sessions. My therapist’s guidance and support were invaluable. While social media can offer many benefits, it can also have a negative impact on body image, potentially contributing to the development of body dysmorphia in some people. Research suggests a strong link between social media use and increased body image concerns. The constant stream of images and videos on social media can create a culture of comparison, where individuals constantly judge their own appearance against others. This can fuel feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem often presents heavily filtered, edited, and idealised images of bodies creating unrealistic expectations and can lead people to compare themselves unfavourably to these unattainable standards.
Social media often emphasises external validation through likes, comments, and followers. This can lead people to prioritise their appearance as a means of gaining social acceptance and approval.
Our workshops can provide a safe space for individuals to explore their relationship with their bodies, challenge negative thoughts, and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
Through our meetings, social events, and online group, friendships are built that cross cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. Here, every woman has a voice, and every story matters. Together, we create a safe and welcoming space to share knowledge, offer encouragement, and find strength in one another. It’s a place to laugh, learn, and grow as we support each other through this shared journey.
Joining our community means becoming part of something bigger—a circle of women united by understanding, compassion, and a shared goal to empower one another. We’d love for you to be a part of it!
