We are dedicated to ensuring that both our therapists and our clients are cared for with the utmost sincerity and respect, minimising any health and safety concerns wherever reasonably possible. Our approach includes:
- Creating an environment that is safe and comfortable for both the therapist and the client.
- Ensuring our workshops are facilitated by appropriately qualified therapists and that all equipment is in safe working condition.
- Minimising risks and hazards to our therapists by providing them with comprehensive information and support.
- Training:Supporting employees to achieve our Health and Safety Objectives & providing relevant health and safety information, training and instruction for our employees as recommended by health authorities and the beauty industry standards
- Delivering detailed information and instruction on assessing and managing potential hazards and risks.
- Health Screening: Conducting a medical consultation confirming any contra indications that may either prevent or restrict our clients from attending our workshops, thus minimising health risks. We kindly ask that clients who feel unwell or have been in contact with anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms reschedule their workshops.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation:All salon equipment and surfaces are sanitised thoroughly between each workshop. We use high grade disinfectants to ensure the highest level of hygiene.
- Ventilation:The premises we facilitate our workshops are equipped with ventilation systems that ensures continuous circulation of fresh air, reducing the risk of airborne transmission of viruses.
Our comprehensive risk assessment system addresses a range of risks and potential hazards, including:
- Fire risks and trip hazards.
- Potential adverse reactions from our products.
- Injury risks from jewellery or other personal items.
- The condition and cleanliness of massage equipment.
We take pre-emptive steps to minimise these risks and provide clear instructions for managing any situations that may arise.
The Healing Hands Haven Ltd Health and Safety Policy Statement outlines our commitment:
- To effectively manage the health and safety risks arising from our work activities.
- To ensure that all equipment is safe, clean, and undergoes regular safety inspections.
- To provide information, instruction, and guidance for organisers.
- To reduce the risks of illness, accidents, and incidents in the workplace to the lowest level reasonably practicable using the hierarchy of controls and conditions.
- To maintain safe and healthy working conditions.
- To identify any hazard immediately, recorded and either made safe or quarantined to prevent injury occurring.
- To record all accidents in our accident book.
- To ensure that there are adequate first aid facilities; first aid kits & ice packs.
- To ensure that our therapists are first aid trained and there is always a first aid trained person in the facility during operating hours.
- To ensure that there are appropriate emergency procedures in place and that everyone is aware of what to do in an emergency (i.e. fire, earthquake, or power outage).
- To ensure that adequate firefighting equipment is available and is regularly inspected and serviced.
- To conduct regular reviews of the Health & Safety policies and procedures.
