Healing Hands Haven Ltd has been providing a bespoke service whereby women are educated how complementary health can reduce a multitude of health issues to include; stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, digestive issues, fatigue, menopausal symptoms by using self-care strategies within the comfort of their own homes. With the cost-of-living crisis, these therapies are not always affordable for young women, the working class or single parents. Therapists’ hourly rates typically range from £50 to £80. However, our workshops offer all the essential elements of college courses and private academies, but without the hefty price tags—which can run into the hundreds or even thousands of pounds. At Healing Hands, we’re committed to providing high-quality workshops at affordable prices.
I am passionate about women’s health and wellbeing, as I too have suffered several years of a multitude of health problems. Since starting my holistic journey, I’ve established many meaningful connections with a diverse group of women by nurturing their overall well-being, integrating mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health. “The Esther Project” started two years ago to remove stigma around mental health issues in women by introducing them to the foundations of holistic health sharing my knowledge and skills to improve their overall wellbeing. It is a place where women can escape from their daily lives and learn a self-care routine which they can integrate into their lives. Allowing them the freedom to take control of their own healing journey by having access to it anytime they want without worrying about time, responsibilities and financial obligations.
Women’s and men’s mental health have their own distinctions, and more research is starting to focus on these variabilities. According to UK’s Mental Health Foundation, one in six adults has a common mental health problem, which includes conditions such as anxiety disorders and depressive disorders. When the figures are broken down by sex, it becomes one on five women and one in eight men.
There are a number of factors that can put women at a greater risk of poor mental health compared with men. However, is it believed that women are far more likely to talk about what they are going through and seek support through their social networks to help with their mental health.
Psychosocial and gender-related pressures can impact mental health differently for men and women. For example, women, particularly young women are often faced with unrealistic beauty standards that can create body image concerns and self-esteem issues, especially on platforms such as social media.
Our mission at Healing Hands Haven is to empower women through education, support and connection in a safe and inclusive space and embrace life’s challenges together with confidence and strength. A place where women from all walks of life come to learn, share, connect and thrive. We create a safe and welcoming space for women to gain confidence in themselves by introducing a holistic approach to your overall wellbeing, sharing knowledge and offer encouragement. By creating a safe and supportive environment, we create opportunities for personal growth social connections and a sense of belonging.
Joining our community means becoming part of something unique and special, a circle of women united by compassion and empathy with a shared goal to embrace life’s challenges and empower each other. Our workshops are designed to identify the root causes of mental health issues rather than just treat the symptoms leading to more sustainable outcomes. But prioritising self-practicing techniques you will be taking an active part in your mental, emotional, and physical health journey.
