Aromatherapy is a wonderful way to explore the natural aromas and properties of essential oils and discover how they can be incorporated into your own self care and wellbeing routine. At Healing Hands Haven, this introductory workshop gives you the opportunity to gain experience with essential oils, how they are traditionally used, how to blend them and, importantly, how to use them safely and responsibly.
Essential oils are concentrated aromatic extracts obtained from plants, taken from flowers, leaves, bark, roots, seeds, fruit, or peel, depending on the plant. Because they’re highly concentrated, understanding how to manage, dilute, store and use them safely is a key part of aromatherapy. Aromatherapy itself is a holistic practice using these oils to support wellbeing and self care. Oils can be experienced through inhalation or, where appropriate, topical application, helping to create a calming, relaxing, or uplifting environment. During the workshop, you’ll explore how they can be woven into everyday wellbeing, including relaxation, a calming bedtime routine, and moments of self care.
You’ll be introduced to six commonly used essential oils, exploring their aromas and learning about their traditional properties, uses, and safety considerations, including how to choose oils suited to your own preferences and wellbeing needs. Building on this, you’ll then combine three of these oils to create your own personalised blend focused on relaxation and stress management, guided through safe dilution, measurement, and blending techniques throughout. You’ll also learn about carrier oils and why they matter when preparing oils for use on the skin, so you leave with the confidence to blend safely at home.

If you wish to practise aromatherapy professionally, you’ll need appropriate training, qualification, and insurance. Some attendees go on to study aromatherapy professionally through local colleges and training providers.

Let’s have a relaxed, no obligation conversation about your requirements. We’ll talk through what you’re looking for and how the workshop can be shaped around your group, followed by a bespoke quotation.
